This year was no different as we collected another 9 awards to add to our trophy cases, including the title of 2016 Market 4 Station of the Year! National Sales Manager and Public Relations head Bill Tibor took the stage to accept the 2016 Station of the Year award and was later joined by Sunny’s Walt Lindala and Owner/General Manager of Great Lakes Radio, Inc., Todd Noordyk. Noordyk said, “It’s great to represent a team of winners and we are happy to bring back these 10 awards [including Station of the Year & WFXD Award] to the Upper Peninsula.”

“I am very happy to win Station of the Year,” Noordyk added, “but I am also truly pleased we were recognized in so many different categories.”

Noordyk also mentioned he is most proud of the award won in the Community Involvement category. Great Lakes Radio is a locally-owned and operated group of stations with staff that lives right here in Marquette County. The community we serve and interact with is extremely important to everyone on staff and our community involvement played a very large role in this year’s accomplishments.
