Gwinn – The Superior Arts Council will offer a free summer drama camp, for children entering third through seventh grade, Monday, August 1 through Friday, August 5 and Monday, August 8 through Friday, August 11. Camp will be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. each day at the Gwinn Clubhouse.
Camp will be led by Emily Strazzinski and will feature games, activities and rehearsals leading up to a production of a mysterious, comedic play titled “Law and Order: Nursery Rhyme Unit.” A dress rehearsal and performances are scheduled for August 12 at Nordeen Park in Gwinn. Children may act and/or help with backstage duties.
Participants need not attend every day of camp in order to be part of the production; however, preference for larger roles will be given to those who attend most or all sessions.
Registrations will be accepted Saturday, July 23 at Gwinn Fun Daze and on Monday, August 1 from 9 to 9:30 a.m. at the Gwinn Clubhouse.
