MARQUETTE, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – Marquette City Police are looking for the public’s help in their investigation into a hit-and-run accident that happened yesterday afternoon.
Police say a burgundy 2012 Honda passenger vehicle was slowing down on Wright Street just after 3 p.m. in an attempt to turn in to the parking lot of The Marquette Board of Light and Power offices. The Honda was struck from behind by a red Ford pickup truck with a red plow and an orange light on the roof.
The impact knocked the Honda into a snowbank, and the pickup pulled into the parking lot and stopped briefly. The truck then fled the scene and was last seen heading south on Ontario Street.
A passenger in the Honda received minor injuries and was treated and released. Anyone who may have any information about the incident is asked to call Marquette City Police at 228-0400.
