Marquette, MI- July 26th, 2017- My fiance Lauren and I finally made it out to the west side of the U.P. We we’re able to scratch a place off of our to do list while we are here. The two of us took a little trip out to the Porcupine Mountains and saw the Lake of the Clouds.
It was a great trip, we actually got a little campsite right off the shore of Lake Gogebic. Our fire pit could not have been more than 10 feet from the water. All we had was a little tent that could barely fit the two of us and our dog, a couple of sleeping bags, some hot dogs and s’mores to roast. What more could we possibly need?
All we needed was to take a little 30 minute drive up the mountains and see this natural beauty everyone has told us about. And it did not disappoint. It was absolutely gorgeous to see a lake that beautiful in the mountains without any development. It was great to see that human civilization couldn’t ruin it’s beauty.
I’m so glad the two of us could go see another great place the U.P. has to offer and look forward to see the next one. Please feel free to leave some suggestions in the comment section.
It was a pleasure to be on-air with you this morning and can’t wait to do it again tomorrow. You can see more at my web page.
