(MARQUETTE, MI) – The summer travel season is here and many of us in Marquette County and the rest of the central Upper Peninsula are looking for ideas for getaways and fun, yet affordable, vacations. One of the options to consider is making a weekend trip to Sault Ste. Marie, MI. It’s a close by and affordable choice for a summertime escape from the daily routine.
Linda Hoath, Executive Director of the Sault Area Convention and Visitors Bureau joined Sunny 101.9′s Mark and Walt in the Morning to talk about an upcoming event at the world famous Soo Locks that will give visitors access to the inner working of the locks. The event is called Engineer’s Day and it is coming up on Friday, June 24-th from 9-am to 3-pm. Hoath explained the details of the day as well as a few other things that are going on in the Soo that weekend.
