Marquette, MI – (02/11/20) – The Marquette City Clerk’s Office and the Marquette Senior Center are hosting an election and voter information forum this week.  Marquette Deputy City Clerk Kyle Whitney joined Mark & Walt in the Morning today to talk about the event.

Whitney said the forum is being held in anticipation of the upcoming Presidential Primary Election and will be on Thursday, February 13th, in Room B of the Marquette Senior Center from 9 a.m. until noon.

Whitney explained that staff will be on-hand to assist in voter registration, and interested residents will also be able to receive and vote absentee ballots for the March 10th Presidential Primary and can request to be added to the City of Marquette’s Permanent Absentee Voter List.

He said the forum is also intended to provide an informal opportunity for residents to ask questions about the election process, or to gain a better understanding of the 2020 Election Cycle, which will include elections in March, August and November.
