Marquette, MI – (Great Lakes Radio) – This time on Wildcat Wednesday, where we talk about things going on at Northern Michigan University, the home of the Wildcats, it’s a discussion about the NMU Food Pantry.

CJ Maresh, one of the Food Pantry Coordinators, and NMU Assistant Dean of Students Haley Rhoades joined the Sunny Morning Show today to fill everyone in about the pantry and the help it provides.

Maresh said the NMU Food Pantry was established in November of 2017 and is open to all NMU students, faculty and staff who may be in need.

Rhoades added that the pantry is funded entirely by donations to the NMU Foundation and is supported throughout the academic year with various food drives that provide supplemental food and products to the pantry.

She said that in addition to the organized food drive events, supplies and food available at the pantry are gathered via donations and contributions by members of the NMU community, alumni, and area supporters.

Maresh said the NMU Food Pantry Facebook page provides regular updates.
