Marquette County GOP Chair Discusses Right To Work Legislation And More

    MARQUETTE, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – Recently elected Marquette County Republican Party Chair Pete Mackin visited The SUNNY Morning Show with Walt & Mike today to talk about a series of topics including the current right to work legislative controversy in Lansing.

    Mackin, who will officially assume the post on January 1st of 2013, discussed his plans to recruit more people of all ages and groups into the Republican Party on a local level and to mobilize young voters.

    Mackin also weighed in on the current controversy at the State Capitol over right to work legislation.  He talked about it’s importance to the party as a platform plank, but he also criticized the process of how the changes to state law have moved through both chambers to get to the Governor.
