MARQUETTE, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – One of the original “extreme” sports, guts frisbee, is regaining popularity in our region and some of the best of the best in the sport will converge on Marquette this weekend.
The Guts Frisbee U.S. Nationals are being held this weekend at Hurley Field in South Marquette. Tournament Director Kurt Lahtinen stopped in on the SUNNY Morning Show to promote the event.
Lahtinen says there are 19 teams currently registered and there may be other teams that join the competition, making this the largest group of teams that have taken part in the competition since its start up a few years ago.
Competition runs all day Saturday and Sunday at Hurley Field and the public is invited to bring a lawn chair, blanket and cooler and enjoy some classic guts frisbee.
