
Gladstone, Michigan– 11/28/2017– The Girls traveled the Gladstone this Tuesday night to take on the Braves for their first game of the season. Jesse Anderson and Brady Guilbault were there to bring you all of the in-game action on Sunny.FM.
The first quarter had an excellent start for the Miners. Chloe Norman scored the first two points of the game for the Miners. They also scored the first six points of the game to get an early lead against the Braves. By the end of the first quarter, the Miners were ahead 14-4. In the second quarter, Abby Nelson, Clara Johnson, and Natalie Bartle dominated the scoreboard for the Miners. The Miners were doing an excellent job at defense. With the score at the end of the second 32-21, the two teams had roughly the same amount of gap between their scores as the first quarter.
The Braves started off the third quarter but Natalie Bartle scored the first two points in the second half of the game for the Miners. 52-33 was the score at the end of the third quarter with the Miners still in the lead over the Braves. The final quarter of the game, the Braves started to close the gap between the two teams. Halfway through the fourth quarter, the first five starters for the Miners were back in the game and that is what kept the Miners in the lead. Our lady Miners won the game against the Gladstone Braves 61-45.
