Negaunee, Michigan December 10th, 2015 – The Negaunee Miners Boys Basketball team hosted the Calumet Copper Kings tonight. Jesse Anderson and Brady Guilbault were there to bring you all the exciting action LIVE from the court on Sunny.FM.
Jay Lori won the opening tip for the Negaunee Miners and Dre Tuominen shot the first basket of the game to give the Miners 2-0 lead against the Calumet Copper Kings. The Negaunee Miners came to play and with 3 minutes into the game led 11-0. The Calumet Copper Kings posted their first points of the game with a three pointer and with the quarter half over trailed 11-3 to the Miners. The Negaunee Miners closed the first quarter with a huge lead 24-7 over the Calumet Copper Kings on Sunny.FM.
The Calumet Copper Kings scored the first points of the second quarter to trail the Negaunee Miners 24-12. The Negaunee Miners dominated the first half of play and lead 47-28 over the Calumet Copper Kings to end the second quarter.
The Negaunee Miners came into the second half of play scoring immediately and widened their lead over the Calumet Copper Kings by thirty points, 58-28 within the first minutes. The Negaunee Miners continued to show an impressive offense and widened their lead 74-32 against the Calumet Copper Kings to end the third quarter.
The Negaunee Miners were on fire tonight and put on a huge performance for their fans at home, with a win of 80-37 over the Calumet Copper Kings on Sunny.FM.
