Negaunee, Mi– January 6th, 2023– Iron Mountain Fought hard against the Negaunee Miner’s in the Miner’s home gym. Carl Leander Johnson was on the scene for Sunny 101.9
The match started off quickly, with Cooper Atkins scoring eight points for the Negaunee Miners within the first three minuets of the match. Iron Mountain scored one two pointer. Aubrey Johnson scored two three pointers followed by Ella Mason with another three. Aubrey Johnson continues to climb up the scoreboard reaching sixteen points before the end of the first quarter. Ella Mason scored a two pointer bringing the score up to 26-2 with Negaunee in the lead. Aubrey knocked another three pointer down, her fourth three pointer of the match.29-4
Cooper Atkins scored with 7:35 left in the second quarter. Grace Nardi threw the tenth three pointer of the match. Iron Mountain continued to attempt to close the gap, with little success. Madison Pekril did the quote “perfect pick and roll” according to Carl. Ella Mason reached eleven points shortly after, bringing the Miner’s to a stunning 41 points. The Miner’s continue to climb thanks to Madison Pekril. Aubrey Johnson reached twenty-three points as Ella Mason scored eleven. 51-13
The Miner’s started off the second half with the ball, but Callie Bianco of Iron Mountain scored instead. Ella Mason refused to lose and scored a destructive eight points, Grace Nardi and Clare O’Donnell followed with two points as well

The fourth quarter had a strong finish with Seere Helms-Gleason getting on the board for the first time of the night after some contest form Iron Mountain. Iron Mountain continued to score, reaching thirty points before Cooper Atkins scores twice at the free throw line. Aubrey Johnson finished off the match with five three pointers.
