Marquette, MI – November 24, 2018 – While today is Small Business Saturday, don’t forget to save some of your shopping for #GivingTuesday at St. Vincent de Paul! This year, the Marquette branch of St. Vinny’s has partnered with the Thrivent Members Network for #GivingTuesday to help promote the movement of creating an international day of giving! We’ll be on site from 2-5 boradcasting live to invite even more people down to St. Vinny’s for this #give906 event.
What’s #GivingTuesday?
#GivingTuesday is a movement to create an international day of giving at the beginning of the Christmas and holiday season fueled by the power of social media and collaboration. It’s an easy and meaningful event to get involved with that can help your community and other organizations.
When is #GivingTuesday?
This #GivingTuesday event is Tuesday, November 27th, from 10:00am -6:00pm. St. Vincent de Paul of Marquette will accept monetary donations in store. Anyone who donates $5 or more, will receive a 20% Coupon for the store. Stop by to donate, enjoy discount shopping and more. The store will have cookies and refreshments plus an ornament making station, all free of charge!
On top of it all, you can go home with an awesome door prize just for stopping in and donating $5 or more!
Where will your donations going?
All donations will go directly back to our community via our Christmas Toy Program. Even better, once the total count is in, Thrivent Members Network will be matching donations 2 to 1 up to $10,000!
How do I Give?
Community members can stop into the St. Vincent de Paul on Presque Isle Avenue in Marquette during donation hours or you can stop at Messiah Lutheran church who will also be hosting #GivingTuesday. They will have a representative there accepting donations on behalf of St. Vincent DePaul as well as accepting donations for their organization as well.
