It’s my favorite time of the year! I get to show off one of my antique tractors at the U.P. Steam and Gas Engine Show at the U.P. State Fair Grounds in Escanaba. The show will run Friday, September 4 through Monday September 7.
Show times are noon to 5 p.m. on Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday, and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Monday.
There will be displays of antique tractors, small gas engines, steam engines, a flea market, a gun and knife show, and many food vendors. The Antique Village will be open with its General Store, Woodworkers Shop, Ice Cream Shop, Barber Shop, Cook Shack, Saw Mill, Grainery, and Glass Blower Shop. The Agricultural Museum will also be open.
A daily tractor parade will happen at 1 p.m. This is always the highlight of the day when all of the tractor geeks get to show off their “toys” to the crowd. I will be driving my 1944 John Deere H.
It’s only $5 a day to attend! Please join me in Escanaba to celebrate 40 years of fun with the U.P. Steam and Gas Engine Association!
