Marquette – The Peter White Public Library will host the Business Book Review group on Tuesday, May 3 at 9:15 a.m. in the Conference Room. Discussion leader Dar Shepherd will present a 45-minute overview of David SaintOnge’s new book “Built to Fail.”
A local business consultant and author, Saint-Onge discusses his ideas for helping small business owners succeed in today’s unique and challenging economic climate in this 2011 publication. He provides an overview of hurdles facing small business owners today, some of which are traditional, such as finding talented employees, increasing efficiency and need for better technology. Other challenges are the product of the rapidly changing economy, including government intervention, unavailability of credit and increased tax burdens. The author examines the needed change at all levels of government in order for small businesses to survive and thrive.
The Business Book Review meets on the first Tuesday morning of each month at the PWPL for a short discussion of important books for business readers. For more information visit www.pwpl.info or call the library at 226-4318.
