Marquette, MI – February 18th, 2016 – I really enjoy the snow, but don’t get me wrong, summer in the U.P. is gorgeous! This weekend, we’re supposed to have temps in the middle 40s, and that’s gotten me in the mood for spring!
I love spring and summer in the U.P. for a number of reasons, but mostly because it signals the chance to get outdoors and be active. Whether it’s camping and hiking, bicycling, or just relaxing by the beach, there are an endless number of fun things to do up here (not to mention the fact that I don’t have to shovel snow anymore, Hooray)!
As the days get longer, and things start to warm up, my list of summer activities fills up quickly, however, I always make time for hanging out with my dog, Bisou. Being outside away from the hustle and bustle of my busy work days gives me time to relax and reflect. Another great perk of the summer, in my opinion, is all the fresh veggies that we grow! last year we had several tomato varieties and two different kinds of peppers! Fresh tomatoes and peppers make the absolute best salsa!
