Two Arrested In Hancock Guns And Ammo Theft

    Hancock, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – Hancock City Police say they have arrested two people in connection with the theft of weapons and ammunition from a downtown business.

    Two students from Finlandia University were arrested on Saturday afternoon after three handguns and two boxes of .40 caliber ammunition were located in an on-campus dorm room.

    The guns and ammo were identified as those that were taken in a theft early Saturday morning from the Northwoods Trading Post.

    The two students were arrested and lodged in the Houghton County Jail, and charges are pending on a third Finlandia student.

    Names are being withheld pending arraignment.
