NMU Board Approves Medicinal Horticulture Business Program

Marquette, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – Northern Michigan University will offer a new medicinal plant chemistry program next fall.

The new four-year degree will combine experimental horticulture and advanced analytical chemistry with an optional entrepreneurial track.

The NMU Board of Trustees formally approved the program today.

In other business, the board recognized outgoing Trustees Sook Wilkinson and Garnet Lewis for their service to the university and elected Scott Holman of downstate Freeland as Chair and Robert Mahaney of Marquette as Vice Chair for 2017.
