Unemployment Drops Seasonally In Michigan

    Lansing, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – Seasonally unadjusted unemployment rates in September declined in all of the state’s 17 major labor market areas.

    The Michigan Department of Technology, Management & Budget says seasonal job gains resulted in a state rate of 4-point-4 percent.

    That’s down from 4-point-9 percent in August and 4-point-6 percent in September of last year.

    The U.P. unemployment rate for the period was 4-point-7 percent.

    Marquette County had a rate of 4-point-8 percent.
