    Charlevoix, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – An eastern U.P. man has been found guilty in a drunk driving crash that claimed the life of 17-year-old Mitchell Snyder of St. Ignace last year.

    41-year-old Darrel Lovegrove of St. Ignace was found guilty yesterday in Circuit Court in Charlevoix of Operating Under The Influence of Liquor Causing Death and Involuntary Manslaughter.

    The verdict was handed down after just a few hours of jury deliberation.

    The trial took place in Charlevoix after a change of venue was requested.

    Lovegrove is scheduled to be sentenced on November 11th.

    Each charge carries a maximum sentence of 15 years in prison.
