Marquette, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – The Marquette City Commission has approved a plan to hire a lobbying firm to represent the city in Lansing.

At their regular meeting last night, the commission voted to contract the services of the Lansing-based lobbying firm of Karoub Associates.

The vote was 4-to-2, with commissioners Cambensy and Reynolds voting “no”.  Commissioner Baldini was absent from the meeting.

City staff will now negotiate the terms of the contract with the goal of having the agreement finalized by early this fall.
