Marquette, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – An Ishpeming man has been bound over to Circuit Court for allegedly stabbing a Marquette man to death last month.

24-year-old Derek Blemke is charged with open murder in the death of 21-year-old Brandon LaFarve at an apartment at 2050 Wright Street in Marquette on June 24th.

According to testimony in a preliminary exam, Blemke allegedly stabbed LaFarve 24 times after finding LaFarve in bed with Blemke’s ex-girlfriend.
