Marquette, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – State Police at the Wakefield Post report the arrest of two people for allegedly firing a shotgun at a house in Ewen.

The incident took place in the early morning of January 8th when a resident was awakened by shotgun pellets striking his mailbox and house.

Investigation showed that the home and mailbox had been fired upon, doing damage to both.

On January 11th, another Trooper from the Wakefield Post on a traffic stop observed what appeared to be evidence matching what had been found and collected at the scene of the shooting.

This led to the arrest of 20-year-old Michael Gore of Ewen and 18-year-old Brandon Karianen of Bruce Crossing this past Sunday.

Both were arraigned a day later on charges of malicious destruction of personal property, receiving and concealing firearms, reckless use of firearms and discharging a firearm in or at a building.

Authorities are still investigating the two men, as they may have been involved in several break in of hunting camps in the Ewen and Bruce Crossing area the night of the incident.
