Manistique, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – Work this week on the M-94 reconstruction project in Manistique will include some controlled drilling and blasting.

M-DOT says work crews will be drilling holes in the morning hours and will detonate charges in the afternoons.

The blasting is required for rock excavation from US-2 north to Elk Street.

The $4.5 million project is reconstructing 1.3 miles of M-94 from Chippewa Avenue to US-2.

It is expected to be completed in November.
