Marquette, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – The Marquette-based Superior Watershed Partnership has secured over one million dollars in funding to implement several environmental projects.
The funding comes from a combination of municipal, governmental and private sources.
Officials with the Partnership say the money will go toward projects in the greater Marquette area during the 2016 and 2017 field seasons.
The funded projects include storm water management, habitat restoration, tree planting and energy conservation and are intended to improve water quality and benefit Lake Superior.
