Man Arrested In Marquette For Suspicious Checks

Marquette, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – Marquette City Police have arrested a downstate man on felony charges related to cashing suspicious checks.

Joseph Domako of St. Clair Shores was arrested on Friday after an investigation into the attempted cashing of the checks.

Police were made aware of the matter on December 11th.

Domako was located by police while trying to open an account and pass a counterfeit check at the Marquette branch of the Wells Fargo Bank.

He was charged with four counts of felony Uttering and Publishing and faces up to 14 years on each charge.

He is lodged at the Marquette County Jail after failing to post a $100,000 bond.
