Chocolay Township, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – A local trucking company facility was damaged and a semi truck was destroyed in a fire early this morning in Marquette County.

The fire was reported around 4:00 a.m. at the J.B. Hunt facility in Chocolay Township.

Firefighters were called out after reports of heavy black smoke coming from the building.

The semi truck was fully engulfed in flames inside the structure when fire crews arrived on scene and they quickly put it out.

Further damage to the building and another semi truck was kept to a minimum.

The fire is believed to be accidental in nature and the investigation is underway.
