Pembine, WI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – The Marinette County Wisconsin Sheriff’s Office says deputies shot and killed a man last night in Pembine.

Authorities responded to a statewide bulletin about a man being armed and making threats who was believed to be heading north, possibly into Marinette County.

The deputies located the man’s vehicle and followed him for several miles while trying to negotiate with him by phone.

The man then stopped in Pembine and approached deputies with a weapon.

The man did not stop when they ordered him to drop the gun.

The deputies then shot and killed him.

No one else was injured and the investigation has been turned over to the Wisconsin Department of Justice.
