Marquette, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – Marquette City Police are reporting the arrest of a Marquette man on felony charges of human trafficking involving a minor female.

24-year-old Aaron Max Wesolek was arrested on Friday following an investigation into an incident on April 21st where Wesolek allegedly sexually assaulted a 14-year-old Marquette County girl at his Marquette apartment.

Police say Wesolek met the alleged victim on the internet and took her from her home to his apartment.

Following a search of Wesolek’s apartment and a review by the Marquette County Prosecutor’s Office, Wesolek was charged with felony counts of human trafficking – recruiting a minor for child sexually abusive activity, criminal sexual conduct third degree involving someone between the age of 13 and 15, using computers to commit a crime and accosting a child for immoral purposes.

Wesolek is being held in the Marquette County Jail on a cash bond of 10% of $115,000.
