Two Hurt In Marquette Rollover Accident

Marquette, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – Marquette City Police say two people were injured in a single-vehicle rollover accident last night.

The accident happened just before 7:30 p.m. on US-41 South near Tonti Road when a southbound car went out of control, left the roadway and rolled over onto it’s roof.

The driver, a 22-year-old Marquette man, was able to get out of the vehicle, but his passenger, an 18-year-old Marquette woman had to be extricated by responders.

Both were taken to UP Health System-Marquette for treatment.

The driver was ticketed for driving too fast for conditions and no names have been released.
