Marquette, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – City of Marquette is holding a public meeting tonight on plans for transportation changes related to the new Duke LifePoint hospital development along the US-41/M-28 corridor.

As a result of the construction of the new hospital, changes are needed to accommodate increased traffic volumes and pattern shifts and access between the hospital and the highway.

Several plans are being considered, including building access roads and bridges and upgrading intersections.

Tonight’s meeting will give residents an opportunity to hear a presentation on the project and make comments on the proposed plans.

The public meeting runs from from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. in the Citizen’s Forum at Lakeview Arena in Marquette.
