Michigan Tech To Unveil New Logo And Branding Friday

Houghton, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – Officials with Michigan Technological University say they are planning to announce a new branding campaign for the Houghton school later this week.

According to a statement from the university, after more than 130 years, Michigan Tech is going to debut it’s first cohesive, university-wide brand.

The new branding effort will include a new logo which will be revealed for the first time at a ceremony at 1:30 p.m. Friday in the Opie Reading Room of the Van Pelt and Opie Library on campus.

President Glenn Mroz will briefly speak about the history of the branding campaign, the reasons for it and what it means for Michigan Tech. Then the new logo will be unveiled to the public.
