One Killed In Alger County Snowmobiling Accident

Au Train Township, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – Authorities in Alger County say a downstate man was killed in snowmobiling accident last night in Au Train Township.

The accident was reported around 9:15 p.m. on Trail #8, about three miles west of M-94.

Investigators say a snowmobile operated by 37-year-old Adam Michael Hagerty of Saginaw missed a curve, left the trail and struck a tree.

Hagerty was pronounced dead at the scene. Excessive speed and alcohol are believed to have been factors in the accident.
