Three Men Awaiting Sentencing After Trespassing, Drunk, Disorderly Charges

    Three awaiting sentencing after needing rescuing from breakwall during stormMARQUETTE, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News)Three men are awaiting sentencing after pleading guilty to trespassing and drunk and disorderly charges in connection with a recent incident on the north breakwall in the City of Marquette. 

    24-year-old John Pires of Mukwanago, Wisconsin, 24-year-old Ryan Doyle of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and 23-year-old Joseph Stieber of Marquette were arrested and charged after Marquette City Police and the U.S. Coast Guard had to rescue them from the breakwall during high winds and heavy seas. 

    The men climbed over a locked safety gate on the afternoon of Saturday, November 10 and went onto the breakwater during stormy weather and high waves, resulting in the need for them to be rescued.
