MARQUETTE, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – Republicans maintained the majority in the State House, following Tuesday’s election. However, their margin will be smaller than it is in the current legislature.
Among other gains, Democrats ousted Republicans Deb Shaughnessy of Charlotte, Matt Huuki of Atlantic Mine and Mark Ouimet of Ann Arbor.
Currently Republicans have a 64-46 majority, but that margin will narrow once all the votes are counted in all the races.
