Missing Elderly Woman Found with Help from Special Tracking System

    Missing elderly woman found with Marquette Life Tracking ProjectMARQUETTE, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – Marquette County Sheriff’s Deputies say a special tracking system used with elderly residents in the County was instrumental in the location of a missing woman yesterday.
    Deputies were dispatched to South Republic around 8 o’clock yesterday morning on a report of a missing elderly woman.
    81-year-old Shirley Setala was last seen around 10 o’clock Tuesday night at her residence on Hemlock Street.  Authorities say she suffers from dementia and was a client of the Marquette County Life Tracker Project.
    Rescue personnel say they were able to track Setala down a short distance from her home thanks to the Life Tracker tracking device she was wearing.
    She was treated for hypothermia and was taken to Bell Hospital for exposure.  Assisting on the scene were Bell EMS and Republic First Responders.
