Iron Ore Heritage Recreation Authority looking for publics input on priorities

MARQUETTE, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – The Iron Ore Heritage Recreation Authority in Marquette County is updating their five-year recreation master plan and is looking for the public’s input on priorities.

The group says their original master plan was adopted in 2008 and the plan will take them forward for the next five years. The goal is to have residents provide input on their wants and needs so they can prioritize projects.

The Iron Ore Heritage Recreation Authority was formed in 2007 to build, manage, and maintain the proposed 48-mile, multi-use, year round, interpretive trail across the Marquette Iron Range.

A trail survey on development of the trail is available online through their website at ironoreheritage.com or printed copies are available by calling 235-2923. Surveys are due back by October 19, 2012.
