MGH CEO thanking attorney general for sale process

MARQUETTE, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – Marquette General Hospital CEO Gary Muller is praising the decision by Attorney General Bill Schuette to approve the proposed acquisition of Marquette General by Duke LifePoint Healthcare.

Muller says the review was a critical milestone in the process, and the hospital is pleased to move forward with finalizing the transaction following the completion of other closing conditions.

In a statement released yesterday afternoon, Muller thanked the Attorney General and his associates for their time and attention in reviewing this acquisition and considering its benefits to the local community.

He added that the hospital is looking forward to officially becoming part of Duke LifePoint and having additional resources to strengthen facilities, enhance services offered and advance healthcare across the Upper Peninsula.
