Negaunee, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – Marquette County Sheriff’s deputies responded to single-vehicle accident yesterday afternoon in Negaunee Township that injured two teenagers.

The accident happened just before 1:00 p.m. on County Road 510 near North Basin Drive.

A 2002 Buick Enclave, driven by a 16-year-old Marquette girl, missed a curve, left the roadway and struck several trees.

The driver and a 15-year-old female passenger from Negaunee were taken to UP Health System Marquette for treatment of injuries.

The driver was ticketed for speeding and no names have been released.
