Gladstone, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – A Delta County man was injured in a motorcycle accident on US-2 & 41 this morning.
39-year-old Greggory Simonsen of Rapid River was thrown from his motorcycle when it went out of control and went into the median after hitting some gravel on the highway near M-35.
Gladstone Public safety says the accident happened around 8:00 a.m. when Simonsen was traveling from Rapid River to Escanaba.
He was taken to OSF St. Francis Hospital in Escanaba and later transferred to UP Health System Marquette for treatment of injuries.
He was wearing a helmet at the time of the accident and no tickets were issued.
