Suspect of a Break-In at Sawyer Being Held in Marquette

Suspect of a break-in on the old air base in K.I. Sawyer is being held in Marquette County

MARQUETTE, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – Forsyth Township Police report the arrest of one person following an early-morning break-in at Sawyer.

The break-in was called in from a residence at the former Air Force base around 3:30 am.  Officers responding to the scene were able to locate and arrest the suspect, who was found to be in possession of oxycodone and two pounds of marijuana when taken into custody.

The identity of the suspect is being withheld and the case has been turned over to the Marquette County Prosecutor’s Office for review.  The suspect is lodged in the Marquette County Jail awaiting arraignment.
