Marquette, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – The investigation is continuing into a weekend house fire in Marquette.

Firefighters were called out to 201 East Michigan just after 9:00 p.m. Saturday on a report of smoke coming from the basement of the building.

Fire crews got the fire out quickly, but there was heavy smoke and heat damage to the structure.

All of the building’s residents were able to get out safely due to working smoke detectors in the home, and no injuries were reported.

The residents were housed at a Marquette hotel through the the Pigs and Heat Fire Relief Fund.
