Weekend U.P. Rollover Crash Injures Teen

Ontonagon, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – The Ontonagon County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a single-vehicle rollover accident yesterday afternoon that injured one person.

The accident happened around 12:30 p.m. on M-38 near Calumet Road in Ontonagon Township.

A vehicle driven by a 16-year-old Greenland girl went off of the road and then crossed the center line when the driver over-corrected and lost control.

The vehicle then went into a ditch and rolled over.

The 16-year-old girl was not hurt, but a 17-year-old male passenger was injured in the crash.

He was taken to Aspirus Ontonagon for treatment.

His condition is not known at this time.
