Negaunee Miner Football Players and Coaches Selected to Play All-Star Game

Negaunee, MI – June 3rd, 2015 – On June 27th the best high school football players in the U.P. will be getting together to play in the U.P. Football All-Star Game, and the Negaunee Miners have four players and four coaches on the North team.

 

The Miner players on the team are:

Zack Harsila
Luke Jacobson
Robert Loy
Hunter Ridley

The North team will be lead by Negaunee Head Coach Paul Jacobson, with the help of his Assistant Coaches Kevin Jacobson, Jeff Niemi, and Dan Waterman.

The North team includes players from Gwinn, Ishpeming, Marquette, Negaunee, Westwood, and 15 other teams across the northern half of the Upper Peninsula. They will take on the South team, which includes players from 20 teams across the bottom half of the U.P., including Escanaba, Iron Mountain, Menominee, and more.

The game takes place on June 27th, and All-Star Week will take place all week long starting on Monday, with various events such as Media Day, Skills Challenge, All-Star Banquet and more.

The game will broadcast on 103-FXD, as well as 92.7 WRUP for those in the Southern part of the Upper Peninsula. The game will also stream live online at wfxd.com. The action will be called by Mike Plourde and Bob Nadeau, the voices of the Ishpeming Hematites on 98.3 WRUP.

Congratulations to all the Negaunee Miners invited to the All-Star Game, and the rest of the players who all contributed to a great season!

The Negaunee Miners will return to the field in August to start the 2015/2016 season, and every game will be broadcasted on 101.9 FM and streamed online at Sunny.FM!
