9-27-2013 Negaunee, Michigan – It’s Football Night again in Negaunee on Sunny.FM!  This week the Negaunee Miners traveled to Gwinn to take on the Modeltowners! They entered into their fifth game of the season undefeated and Carl Johnson was there to bring you all the action.

Football Night in Negaunee for the Miners at Sunny.FM! The first quarter brought the Miners their first touchdown by Tyler LaJoie!  No points scored by the Modeltowners. The first quarter ended short and sweet at 6-0 Negaunee.

At the End of the First Quarter:
Negaunee Miners: 6
Gwinn Modeltowners: 0

Football Night in Negaunee on Sunny.FM! The second quarter widened the gap on the scoreboard as the Miners were the only ones to put points on the board again. First touchdown was made by Tyler LaJoie on a pass from Syrjala.  This was a sight to see as LaJoie slipped past many attempts to take him down.  Too slick to tackle he ran the ball across the field to make the score 12-0.  (no 2-point conversions were made) Next Windhall got the ball and before Gwinn realized what was happening Windall ran the ball in for another touchdown for Negaunee. Shout out to the defensive line who created a huge hole on the field for Windall to score! This brought the score to 18-0 Miners! But that wasn’t all! LaJoie scored an 80 yard touchdown with a 2-point conversion by Ryan Syrjala. This excitement ended the second quarter of the Negaunee vs Gwinn high school football game at 26-0 Negaunee!

At the End of the Second Quarter:Negaunee Miners: 26
Gwinn Modeltowners: 0

Football Night in Negaunee on Sunny.FM!  During the third quarter Gwinn kicked off to Negaunee for starters and the Miners didn’t waste any time and scored a touchdown by Tyler LaJoie due to a smooth hand off and a perfect block by the offense. This brought the score to 34-0 Negaunee.  Not long after LaJoie ran the ball up the middle to score and Tyler Jandron kicked in the extra point to widen the gap and make the score 41-0!

At the End of the Third Quarter:
Negaunee Miners: 41
Gwinn Modeltowners: 0

Football Night in Negaunee on Sunny.FM! The fourth quarter started off with a running clock as Negaunee didn’t let anyone get through to score for the Modeltowners in the first 3 quarters! However, Gwinn was able to prevent getting shut out by Negaunee in the 4th quarter as Owen DeVooght scored a touchdown for the Modeltowners shortly before the clock ran out and they ended the game at 41-6 Negaunee!

At the End of the Fourth Quarter:
Negaunee Miners: 41
Gwinn Modeltowners: 6
