Negaunee, Michigan – January 8, 2019 – More Iron Range Hockey!
We are definitely in the thick of hockey season right now.
My 7-year-old, Holden, is thoroughly enjoying the Learn to Skate program with the Iron Range Hockey Association in Negaunee.
He gets so excited for practice, and the volunteers there that are teaching the kids are saints.
It’s just magical to watch this little being you created learn and grow and blossom into an incredible person.
One trait I’m very happy Holden inherited from both myself and his father, Cody, is the desire to learn and pay attention to those who are teaching.
Last night at practice, the kids were being taught different hockey drills to hone the new skills they’re learning (skating, maneuvering, etc.).
It was obvious how closely Holden paid attention to those volunteers who taught the drill, and he asked questions when needed.
It made me so proud!
I guess I am a total hockey mom, in addition to a soccer mom, now.
Well, it’s the best life, right?
