Negaunee, Michigan – October 31, 2018 – It’s Halloween! Hooray! It’s the day I (ahem), I mean, my kid, gets a ton of candy!
Yes, I make Holden share his candy with me. Zero regrets, no apologies. I do just as much work walking around all over creation with him begging for candy from strangers, so I should get some, too – right? I think so!
This is all dripping with sarcasm, of course. But if he offers me a candy bar, I’m definitely not turning it down. Which he does, because he’s a thoughtful sweetheart and knows that mom is always in a fantastic mood with chocolate around. Especially if it’s a chocolate-caramel-type candy! What a wonderful little angel.
What’s your favorite candy? I would die without chocolate-caramel candies and sour SweetTarts!
