Negaunee, MichiganOctober 23, 2018 – This is so hard. I don’t feel like I can say that enough while in the thick of this program. This complete and total transformation. It is utterly exhausting, but in a good way.

The Laws for Week #2 were:

3. Step out of your comfort zone

4. Commit to growth

Theme: Vitality

Homework: 30 minute yoga practice every day for 6 days.  Meditation 10 minutes twice a day. Journal on book questions and what comes up. Balancing diet: Fresh foods. Read Week #3 in book.

I followed everything, but faltered on doing the yoga and meditation every day. It was difficult to keep up with it, since I have such a busy schedule. I found myself getting increasingly exhausted trying to fit it all in. Self-care is so extremely important, and the yoga and meditation is essential to self-care within this program.

The Laws for Week #3 were:

5. Shift your vision

6. Drop what you know

Theme: Equanimity

Homework: 45 minute yoga practice every day for 6 days. Meditation 15 minutes twice a day. Journal on book questions and what comes up. Balancing Diet: Fresh foods. Read Week #4 in book.

I followed this all too, but couldn’t quite do the entire 45 minute practice. I did on some days, but others I could only do 20 minutes. But, that’s okay, because I did it! same with meditation. 5 minutes was all I could muster some days, but like I said: I did it, and that’s what matters.

The thing I’m struggling with the most is diet. I have such a busy, go go go lifestyle that eating “on the go” has become my routine. I normally grab a yogurt and a piece of fruit for breakfast and eat in between breaks on the show. Lunch is really whatever is there, or whatever I can pick up quick. Most days, though, I don’t eat lunch at all. I forget about it, and by the time I remember, I’m starving and it’s 2 or 3 PM. So by then it’s pointless because I’ll eat dinner around 5/6PM.

So I’m driving the struggle bus when it comes to diet. However, I know it’s just myself holding me back with this. I need to schedule lunch in, as well as practice and meditation. It’s just how I’m going to need to do it.

Wish me luck!

Keep up with me on The Sunny Morning Show, weekdays from 6-10AM on Sunny.FM 101.9.
