Marquette, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – The City of Marquette Arts and Culture Center is presenting a week long event dedicated to arts, culture and community called “Art Week.”
Tiina Harris with the MACC joined the SUNNY Morning Show with Walt & Mike today to talk about activities planned for the upcoming week.
She said this program is intended to highlight and promote local artists by featuring artwork, live performances, and demonstrations in downtown businesses and storefronts.
Harris says Art Week runs June 20th to June 27th, will also feature gallery and studio tours, receptions, street performers, outdoor art installations, promotions, sales, and more.
She added that with over 60 participating local businesses, the NMU Graphic Design department has designed a map with a list of Art Week events that can picked up at the art center located in the lower level of the Peter White Public Library at 217 N. Front St. in Marquette.
