Marquette, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – The Negaunee Lions Club has brought back their Teal Lake Melt Down fundraiser.
This year, the activity will benefit the Negaunee Lions Club and the Greater Ishpeming-Negaunee Area Chamber of Commerce.
GINCC Executive Director Bob Hendrickson joined the Sunny Morning Show today to remind everyone to get a ticket.
Hendrickson said the way the fundraiser works is participants purchase $5 tickets and try to guess when a replica mine shaft head frame will fall through the ice on Teal Lake, with whoever getting the closest to the time winning $1,000.
Tickets are available at the GINCC office, located in the Jubilee Foods parking lot in Ishpeming, and from members of the Negaunee Lions.
The deadline to purchase tickets is March 31st.
